Aspen at Arcadia Townhouses

Adjacent to the Arcadia community and again with Architect Jan Fillinger and his firm Studio-E Architecture, we reimagined a decommissioned church building as three large, vibrant townhomes along with our partners. Originally constructed in the 1940s, this total building retrofit features modern four-bedroom, three-bathroom layouts.

The NowHaus team and I are expert homebuilders. We’re also experts when it comes to home renovations, home remodels and home additions. During construction, we lifted the former church building off its original foundation and installed new super-insulated floors and walls. After we stripped the building down to its structural skeleton, we completely renovated every inch and added thick layers of insulation and a new, modern finish.

We constructed large double-height lofts in each townhome to preserve the original soaring glue-lam arches and wood plank ceiling of the former sanctuary. We installed skylights and oversized windows to fill the beautiful spaces with daylight. Tall ceilings, imaginatively designed and expertly crafted living spaces along with beautiful finishes complete this innovative transformation. Sitting at the corner of a dynamic neighborhood main street, Aspen at Arcadia is a bridge between the Arcadia community and the Friendly Area Neighborhood.

Sustainable Construction

Developed a thermal envelope for each building that is specific to the Willamette Valley and Lane County.

We are expert retaining wall builders, and we secured the soil and foundations of Arcadia with durable concrete construction and our expert knowledge of Willamette Valley soils.
